Register your Project to Claim Plastic and Carbon Credits

Stage 1- Eligibility & Baseline Emissions Assessment

  • We begin by reviewing your biomass plant to confirm it qualifies under the appropriate carbon credit methodology. This ensures the project meets all necessary technical and environmental criteria before we proceed.

  • Send us a Know-Your-Customer (KYC) background check

  • Review the approved methodologies list to see if there is one suitable for your planned project type.

  • If no approved methodology fits, there is also an option to propose a new methodology — but that is a much more complex route

  • Choosing the correct Verification company to ensure full compliance and access to the best suited exchanges

  • Once you have a methodology, we will draft a pipeline project description to Start your application.

  • Carbon credits require a comparison against a “business-as-usual” scenario. We gather project data, analyse historic emissions, and model the baseline

Stage 2 – Project Documentation & Methodology Alignment

  • We prepare your full Project Description—a comprehensive technical document required by global carbon standards.

  • This includes:

Technical overview of your biomass operations

    • Emissions reduction calculations

    • Monitoring and reporting plan

    • Environmental & social safeguards

    • Additionality justification

  • Submit your draft description for “pipeline listing.” This makes the project public on  the registry as “under development.”

  • Once listed, the project enters a 30-day public comment period, during which stakeholders or the public can comment on whether the project should be registered.

  • After the public comment period, An accredited auditor (VVB) must validate your project. Net Zero Society CIC handles all interactions, responses, and technical clarifications

  • The validation body reviews your project description (and the public comments), then issues a validation report. We will guide you through step by step on the Validators requirements

  • Once the project is registered, you implement the project activities that yield greenhouse-gas (GHG) reductions or removals (e.g. reforestation, renewable energy, waste-to-energy, etc.).

Stage 3 – Project Registration

  • We manage the full registration process with the chosen registry (e.g., Verra).
This includes account setup, document uploads, registry communication, and compliance confirmation.

  • Then a VVB conducts a verification to confirm the actual GHG reductions/removals and issues a verification report.

  • If verified and approved, we (as project proponent) request issuance of carbon credits (typically called Verified Carbon Units, VCUs).

  • We will guide you through what paperwork will need to be submitted and validated to evidence your credits.

Stage 4 - Monitoring, Digital Management & Verification & Credit Issuance

  • Over a defined monitoring period you collect data and prepare a monitoring report.

  • To prove ongoing emissions reductions, your biomass plant must follow a methodology-aligned monitoring plan.

  • We provide:

    • Monitoring system setup

    • Data collection templates

    • Monthly compliance support

  • Whilst your credits are still live and not been retired we will digitally store them under our verification companies' portal with access to send them to the exchanges upon request for sale.

  • After each monitoring period, a verifier reviews your performance. We prepare your Monitoring Report, coordinate audits, and submit final documentation for carbon credit issuance.

Stage 5 – Ongoing Support, Credit Management, Storage & Brokerage

  • Carbon credit generation is continuous. We offer annual support to maximise credit issuance and ensure full compliance

  • As a Net Zero Society CIC customer we are fully registered to sell your credits on the 2 largest Carbon Credit exchanges in the world to achieve the best prices for you.
